Park Point Park is a local favorite of many Duluthians. On such an isolated piece of land it's hard to believe the variety of wildlife. Expect to see white pines, jack pines, sand dunes, lichen covered rocks, beach grass, birds of many species and so much more. It is truly one of Minnesota's most precious landscapes. With being such a delicate landscape the DNR is doing its best to protect it. Beware the point has its own defense. Poison Ivy. Everywhere! Don't stray too far off the beaten path.
These are a few snap shots from yesterday's walk. enjoy!
